|

The $200 million, 138 suite Palmera de Cabarete
Resort and Spa, opening in 2011, will be bringing
five star luxury to this action-packed capital of
world-class kite boarding, surfing, laser sailing,
mountain biking, hiking and canyoning. Its 19.5
eco-friendly landscaped acres include 1000 feet of
private shoreline, part of one of the largest
expanses of uninterrupted beach in the Caribbean.
The announcement was made by Darren Law, President
and Chief Executive Officer of NID Holdings LLC,
developers of Palmera de Cabarete. “We are convinced
that Cabarete will be the next Caribbean hot
destination. We are pleased that other luxury brands
like Nikki Beach have announced they will also be
joining us as neighbors,” said Law who enjoys a
pedigree of luxury hotel brands from Four Seasons
and The Regent Palms to Conrad Hotels.
The quality of appointments and finishes in this
condo resort will meet the standards that are
expected for luxury excellence with 10-foot high
ceilings, floor to ceiling window walls that
seamlessly bring the outdoors in, semi private
elevators to suites, marble floors inside and out,
and Wolf and Subzero appliances. Penthouses will
feature infinity edge plunge pools, summer kitchens
and a cabana bathroom with shower. |

Pick of the Month
Caribou Club at Aspen,
Colorado |
 |
|
The New York Post termed the highbrow Caribou Club
the best private club in America. The key word here is
private, because if you want to gain access you need a
current member to sponsor you. But it is a small price
to pay for a few nights of high society and five-star
cuisine. Chat with a renowned sommelier and sample wines
from a cellar containing more than 5000 selections from
around the world. Or, relax with a cigar in an
overstuffed chair by the roaring fireplace in the Great
Room. After dinner, things get moving on the disco dance
floor.
The Caribou Club offers four types of memberships to its
distinguished guests.
Lifetime Membership. This allows a couple
memberships for life and costs $20,000 USD.
Individual Membership. This is a membership for
two that costs $3,000 USD for the first year, and $2,000
USD for the succeeding year.
Corporate/Family Membership. This is for five (5)
corporate/family cards, which are fully transferable
within your corporation or family. This card must be
presented upon entrance to the Club. The cost is $5,000
USD for 5 cards for a one-year period.
Temporary Membership. This is a one-week only
membership. The cost is $500 USD per couple. During the
Holidays and President’s weekend the cost is $1,500 USD
for one week, or $2,000 USD for up to two weeks.
Temporary memberships are limited throughout the year.
The Caribou Club is located at 411 East Hopkins Avenue,
Aspen, CO 81611 |
